The Committee accepts only institutional, and not individual, members. Its members must work with human rights and/or international policy -- in the case of NGOs, this must be expressly stated in their by-laws or evidenced by the work they do.

Any organization wishing to serve on the Committee should submit a request to the Executive Secretariat (contato@dhpoliticaexterna.org.br), presenting its motivation, describing its international work with human rights, and expressing its support for the statement outlining the Committee's objectives and rules of procedure.

Upon receipt of the application, the Executive Secretary will approve the applicant if the Committee members vote in favor. The admission of new members will be voted upon annually by the Committee's plenary assembly.
